Fruit Pitchers

Fruit pitchers

My Aunt Sue passed away some months back, and it was the first time I lost a relative or friend to whom I was emotionally close. I miss her terribly. Among her many good qualities I can never forget was her style and impeccable taste. She had a career in the fashion business, and later in her life spent time making and collecting things of beauty. I try not to weigh myself down with too much stuff, but I was so happy to inherit these fruit pitchers, which I long admired and which make me think of her. One on its own would be nice enough, but the grouping is what makes each one sing.

I enjoy keeping up with the blog 1000 Awesome Things, about the tiny pleasures in life. Here’s one I would add: Small, meaningful collections.
